Over the course of the trade fair, GOVET described dual vocational education and training in detail to SME Russian companies and questioned them on their readiness in terms of education and training. On the stand GOVET provided information about the online vocational education and training portal “Prof-Mayak”, in the conception and design of which GOVET and the BIBB have provided substantial support in recent months. The portal, which was introduced to the public in November 2014, is based on the German education and training portal “foraus.de” and is already widely used among Russian vocational education and training staff. In addition to this, 150 young people were questioned regarding their career choice and media use habits. The publications “trainer aptitude glossary” and the “industrial mechanic” implementation assistance which were presented on the stand and developed jointly with the Russian partners were very positively received by the vocational education and training personnel and training management.

The presence at the trade fair was arranged as part of the bilateral cooperation in vocational education and training of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). GOVET, the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) and the German-Russian Foreign Chamber of Commerce have been cooperating closely on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the BMBF and the Russian Ministry for Education and Training (MOE) from 2012.
